Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, back from their harrowing and near-fatal adventure in the blockbuster #1 bestseller Simple Genius, return in a mesmerizing new thriller. A daring kidnapping turns a children's birthday party at Camp David into a national security nightmare, but the hostage is not who anyone would expect. The First Lady enlists the services of King and Maxwell to bring the child back safely. Years ago, King saved her then-senator husband from an assassin's bullet; whether they shared anything else is their secret. With Michelle still recovering from her own demons the pair are pushed to the limit, with forces aligned on all sides against them, and the line between friend and foe impossible to define...or defend.

This is a wonderful author.:
My mystery book club chose this book to read for March. Everyone in the book club really liked the book. I have read 3 books in this series by the author, the series with Sean and Michelle who are very lively and likeable characters who you can definitely relate to. David Baldacci is now one of my favorite authors and I am a big fan of mysteries. His books are very well written with lots of information about the government agencies he is writing about. First Family Is Excellent:
I must admit this is my third Baldacci Novel. I have been impressed by his writing, his character development, his background research, and most of all his natural ability to hold your attention to an ever moving story.
of drama, entertainment, humor, and, great mystery. Sure I could say the novel was long..but it had so much to tell in his 400+ pages. There is so much going on in a David Baldacci novel This is a novel that you will say, I am glad I read it!

In Baldacci's First Family, there is no thoughtful, developed discussion of any political issue by way of the story - simply a crude recitation of leftist talking points. For example: On native Americans: "The white men had basically crapped all over the only race that could call itself indigenous in America." On Vietnam: "And then later over... more info
First Family:
I purchased this book for my husband. He said it was by far the best book David Baldacci has written. My husband has read every book. I also like his books.
