Nice But . . .:
I have been using this water kettle for about 4 months now and I have established a definite opinion. It is not all good. Considering this is the best selling water kettle, probably because of all the fabulous reviews, I felt it was important to drop a few words in A few months ago, my whistling tea kettle died. I am one of those people that must have a whistler because I'll walk out of the room and forget the kettle is on. Barring that, my next choice is a kettle that automatically shuts off. well, it looks sleek and does a perfect job of boiling the water FAST!!! if you happen to drink a lot of tea throughout the day, this kettle will satisfy all your needs.
Dangerous switch quality:
I was thrilled to have my water heated so fast for coffee & tea. BUT this thermos would NEVER shut off. The auto off switch function never worked. At first I thought I'd just live with it, but then realized it might cause a fire someday if I forgot I turned it on. So sent it back to Amazon, even though I'd thrown away the packaging. So got partial refund without original packaging. Replaced with GE brand I found at the world's larges retailer Wmart. It is working PERFECTLY with perfect tasting water.

We ordered the Aroma AWK-115S Hot H20 X-Press 1½ Liter Cordless Water Kettle for our brand new kitchen remodel and am delighted with how quickly it boils water for our tea. It is very attractive and blends seamlessly with our other stainless appliances. We have had electric kettles before but none were as quick or attractive as the Aroma. We particularly like not having to drag the cord along when pouring.
