Stylish in looks and easy to use!:
It was finally time to update my old "Southwest" design crock pot, even though it cooked the food ok. I wanted the new features and looks, so I chose the Hamilton Beach Set n Forget slow cooker after checking out all the others online and in the stores. This one definitely does a nice job of cooking the food the way a slow cooker should and looks good when on the counter at home or taking to a pot luck. I love my new crockpot:
This slow cooker is huge. I've already made bbq pork and bbq ribs. It handled the 7 lb pork shoulder nicely with room to spare. I'd gladly buy it again but one caveat to people with a small kitchen-this slow cooker takes up space. I'm lucky enough to have a large kitchen but if you lived in an apartment or have a small kitchen with minimal storage you might want to think twice. A Slow Cooker to keep!:
I have alway's disliked Slow Cooker's, Crock-pots, whatever you want to call them. In the last 22 years I have bought and given away more than I can count. This model was my last shot, as in the interim, I have become very fond of a pressure cooker in place of the crock-pot. In the pressure cooker, I can have pot roast dinner on the table in one hour, start to finish and it's perfect. When I read the info about this unit, I thought well, I'll try one more, and if this one doesn't cut it I'm done. I am happy... more info
